We have a very special afternoon of Greek food and discussions about the Mediterranean diet with guest Chefs Jeremy Rock Smith and Katerina Sakelliou (coming from Greece!). Jeremy has been running some pretty amazing retreats on Poros in Greece- I am keen to make it to one soon! Katerina welcomes students into her milieu to learn about Greek foods and traditions. We will learn why the mediterranean diet consistently is voted the healthiest and their people the most long lived. How to increase health span by though foods and community. This is a class not to miss and in the afternoon too! (note- this class is more than a gift certificate so a supplemental charge will be added)

Chef Jeremy Rock Smith is a chef, educator, and author of the Kripalu Cookbook. He served as Executive Chef at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and has taught culinary and wellness programs at Canyon Ranch and Miraval Resorts. A competitor on Chopped, he brings over 30 years of professional kitchen experience and now focuses on longevity and the Mediterranean diet through online cooking classes and programs, as well as immersive retreats in Greece.
Katerina Sakelliou is a chef, author and educator from Poros, Greece, where she grew up learning to cook in her family's restaurant, Spiros, following generations of culinary tradition. Since the mid-2000s, she has been teaching Greek cooking workshops at her bistro on Poros Island welcoming guests from around the world. Katerina's approach to cooking reflects her deep respect for family traditions, the environment, and the connection between food and culture. Her passion is rooted in a lifelong commitment to sharing the love of Greek cuisine.
