Just home from the olive harvest in Greece, Chef Jeremy Rock Smith returns to the Weekend Kitchen with the flavors, stories and inspiration of his travels.
The evening will begin with the rare opportunity to taste Greek olive oil pressed just 14 days earlier. Guests will then cook with that same new-harvest olive oil throughout the evening, experiencing how it brings flavor and richness to everything from soup and phyllo to roasted vegetables and cake.
Inspired by the rustic, generous food of the Greek table, this seasonal class combines chef demonstration with relaxed, hands-on cooking. Guests will learn to work with phyllo, shape Greek meatballs and help prepare an array of vegetable-forward dishes before gathering around the table to enjoy the complete meal family-style.
