With spring upon us, it's time to renew and refresh both inside and out.  We have a special afternoon planned that will combine both science and food.... a talk by Naturopathic physician Dana Krete and a wonderful plant-based menu by our vegan guru Emily Florentino.  This will be as nourishing as it is informative.

In this event, vegan chef Emily Weeks, and naturopathic physician and acupuncturist Dana Krete, team up for a fun and informative afternoon full of delicious vegan food and valuable information on the menu’s health giving properties. Your liver is your main organ of detoxification and Spring is the season of the liver in Chinese medicine. This makes spring the perfect time to put some focus on cleansing and detoxing your body. Our menu will focus on foods that benefit the liver’s ability to detox, leading to overall better health, improved energy, glowing skin and even weight loss!

Cooking class will be guided by Emily, and Dr. Krete will be there to provide information and conversation about your body’s detox system, liver, and the many health benefits of specific foods on the menu from the nutritional and Chinese dietetic perspective. We’ll show you how food can be both delicious and nutritious… kind of like having your cake and eating it too!

About Dr. Krete

Dr. Krete is a Naturopathic Physician who uses a multidisciplinary hollistic approach to treatment that includes acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbs, homeopathy, nutritional supplements.

  • roasted beet hummus with scratch-made super seed-and-nut crackers and crunchy crudites
  • spicy green harissa that goes with EVERYTHING (but in our case with roasted vegetables OR with a whole roasted cauliflower or romanesco)
  • easiest kimchi bowls
  • creamy blender spring tonic soup with dandelion greens and avocado
  • caramelized citrus pistachio and olive oil upside down cake
