A Night in Havana:  Cuban Specialties

Cuban cuisine is a blend of Spanish, African, and Caribbean influences of spices and flavors.  We thought it would be a fun evening to learn about the culture in an region we have not explored during our cooking classes.  The menu sounds super yummy!


  • Ropas Viejas- A classic cuban dish of shredded pork and veggies.
  • Cubano Piccadillo-  Fragrant stew of ground beef and tomatoes 
  • Sofritos tostones - Fried plantains with a light Salsa
  • Sides of Rice and Beans
  • Baked Churros
  • Pineapple Mojitos
