Knife Skills 101- Vegan: Master the most important tool in your kitchen

Nobody chops more vegetables than those following a vegan diet so I thought it appropriate to ask Terry Walters to teach a knife skills class! In this class we will learn basic knife skills, which will include sharpening, understanding the different kinds of knives, what to look for, and all of the cuts- dice, chop, slice and julienne. Trust me when I say that very few home cooks hold their knife properly- I'm looking at you! Good knife skills are the core of all meal preparations.
Once we have chopped till we drop... we will make the following recipes using some of the ingredients for a delicious meal!
- Pan-seared Julienned Veggies with Za'atar and Orange over Quinoa with Mint and Orange Vinaigrette
- Veggie Sheppard's Pie with Cauliflower Crust
- Super Fudgey Brownies
* Please bring a glass bowl or other to go container to take home some of the remaining chopped ingredients for use in your own recipes.
