Returns & Exchanges | Sales Tax | Gift Wrapping

Thank you for shopping with Weekend Kitchen. We hope that you are happy with your purchase. Please read take a few moments to read our policies carefully before ordering.

Once we receive your order you will receive an e-mail confirmation receipt. Please look this over and make sure your order is correct and shipping to the right address. You can call or e-mail us to make corrections if caught in a timely fashion.

Payment Options: Weekend Kitchen accepts Visa, MasterCard and PayPal to process your payment.  We use the latest eCommerce technology through a secure server. However, we are happy to take your credit card information over the telephone if you would prefer (860) 767-1010.

Shipping: Weekend Kitchen ships using either United Parcel Service (UPS) ground or the United States Postal Service (USPS). Your order normally ships from our shop within 3 business days if the item is in stock. Items not in stock will usually ship within 7 and 14 days. Delivery by UPS Ground or USPS and will arrive approximately 7-10 days after your order ships depending on your geographical location. In the event that a backorder occurs, or if your order cannot be shipped in a timely fashion, you will be notified by e-mail. Packages cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes, overseas or to APO address.

Please note UPS’ delivery policies. They will attempt delivery 3 times and if no one receives the package, they will hold the package at their facility for 5 business days. UPS will send you notification regarding picking up your package. If no one comes to claim the package, they will return the shipment to the sender. If you are going to be out of town, please make arrangements to have your order sent to an alternative address. Weekend Kitchen will not be responsible for additional shipping charges incurred if packages are returned to our store due to customer absence.

Upon placement of your order, please check your confirmation e-mail immediately to ensure the “ship to” address is correct. Should the address not be correct, please call Weekend Kitchen immediately 860-767-1010. Once a package has been shipped, there will be a $15 redirect charge should the address need to be changed while in transit.

**Shipping costs from Weekend Kitchen will not be refunded or credited under any circumstance.

** Exceptionally large and/or heavy items including furniture will incur an additional shipping fee.  In this event we will notify you in advance by phone or e-mail.

If you need to receive your order by a specific date please e-mail or call us and we will do our best to accommodate.  Orders can ship by 2-day or overnight delivery for an additional charge dependent on the destination and size of the package.  We will contact you with options and charges.

UPS will insure your package up to $100.  If you would like additional insurance coverage please contact us for a quote. 

GREEN STATEMENT: Weekend Kitchen cares about the environment. For this reason we reuse and/or recycle 90% of our packaging in an effort to send as little as possible to the landfills; thus saving energy, petroleum resources, and woodland resources. Therefore, when you receive your package from Weekend Kitchen, please don't be put off by the reused box or shipping materials. We also request that you kindly recycle the packaging materials you receive from us. Together we can all make a difference!

Sales Tax: A 6% sales tax will be charged for purchases shipped to Connecticut addresses.

Returns and Exchanges: We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied you may return your purchase within 14 days for store credit or exchange ONLY. For your protection, retain a copy of the original sales receipt. We are unable to issue a refund without the actual receipt of products or proof of received items refunded.

**There are no returns on special orders or sale/clearance items.

All returns must be in original and unused condition. A restocking fee may apply to any order not received in good condition. Return shipping, payment for return shipping, and any subsequent damages from return shipping are the responsibility of the purchaser. Please call 860-767-1010 for a return authorization.

Returns and Exchanges by Mail: Store credit and exchanges are allowed with receipt and original, intact packaging only. Please pack the merchandise using the original shipping box or mailer (if possible) and insured for the full amount. Ship to Weekend Kitchen, 6 North Main Street, Essex, CT 06426. Please include your phone number in case we need to reach you for processing your request. We are unable to issue a refund without an actual receipt of the product(s) or proof of received return delivery.

Damaged Orders: If your order arrives damaged, you must report the damage to Weekend Kitchen within 10 days of receiving your order. Please keep the original box and packaging material with the damaged item in the event that UPS or USPS needs to pick up the box for inspection. Weekend Kitchen will send out a replacement item if available or credit the amount of the damaged item.

Gift Wrapping: Gift-wrapping is available for most items at an additional cost of $4.50. Gift-wrapping consists of the order wrapped in tissue paper and boxed when appropriate and finished with a ribbon.
