My brother Peter has begun making the most amazing sculptures of old tools. He owns a company called pkdf (Peter Kirkiles Design and Fabrication) in Kent CT which specializes in custom artisan kitchens etc. I have been in awe of his work for years. His latest creation is this huge folding ruler out of tiger maple and blackened steel. You can see Peter and his son William in his workshop on the lower right.
